January 09, 2018, Houston, TX – Lacey Newday Consulting, LLC, a management solutions firm, is developed a portal/database to house data gathered on rental properties availabilities for those families and individuals affected or displaced by Hurricane Harvey. Lacey Newday Consulting gathered rental property data and secure authorized representatives for each participating property to build the online portal/database. Fifteen University of Houston scholarship students assisted in spearheading the strategy to complete this project. This project assisted FEMA in their efforts to relocate 17,000 storm displaced residents out of hotels and into rental units. At the time, it was costing the taxpayer upwards of $2.2 million dollars a day to house people displaced by Harvey. This is a FEMA contracted project.
